A Quiet Corner
A Quiet Corner
I understand that our busy life schedules may not allow us to take time for ourselves. And I don't mean taking time for oneself by doing nails or watching a ball game. I mean, truly, genuinely paying attention and caring for our own self. I mean pondering on our patterns, our relations, our responses to the world, things we need to let go and things we need to do more of, changes we need to create and values we would like to live by. I mean practicing self observation so that day by day we get closer to a better version of ourselves. I mean taking tiny steps towards an authentic being.
I believe we all need support in this path. I believe we may hear the same quote over and over but suddenly, one day it sinks in. I believe it's crucial to know that there are seekers out there, seekers like us that strive to grow and be better. I believe just like our bodies renew every three months our way of being, our attitude towards the world has to be renewed. I believe not growing is worse than having a terminal disease.
And since I read a lot, I write a lot and I work with people who are always on the road to development, I am hoping to bring some of this experience to you in a nutshell. Something fun, inspiring and simple to tease your curiosity and interrupt your habits just a bit.
I am also working on a project that I will be sharing in this Newsletter. The project is collecting compelling stories of immigrants from all walks of life. The intention of this project is to discover how the many ways that
resilience,
the ability to stand back up, the ability to not fall apart, has created amazing changes in people's lives. I am an immigrant and I believe in the power of leaving everything behind. I am always looking for volunteers who would like to share their stories. If you know anyone, by all means, put us in touch!
I hope, you save me a spot on top of your reading list for the month. I hope, I can inspire you as much as you inspire me. I hope, you feel free to tell me what you think. So, I thank you for subscribing and please let me know if you wish to opt out. God knows we get enough emails every day and there's no shortage of " things to do". I understand and respect that! For now,
